Homemade Chipotle Bowls with Kiana Hanaoka

DIY Chipotle Burrito Bowl
Ingredients:
Jasmine rice (I get mine frozen from Trader Joes) |
Jalapeno (optional) |
Shredded cheese (Monterey Jack) |
Salt |
Romaine lettuce | Avocado |
1 tomato | Flank steak |
1 shallot | Cracked pepper |
Cilantro | Garlic powder |
Lemon |
Pico De Gallo Recipe:
1 tomato dice small
1/2 shallot diced small
Pinch of cilantro chopped
1/4 jalapeno chopped (optional)
Juice from 1/2 of a lime
Salt for taste
Add all ingredients to a bowl & mix!

Guacamole Recipe:
1 avocado - mashed
Pinch of salt
Once you'd finished the pico de gallo, add a couple scoops of it + all of the lemon juice sitting at the bottom into your guacamole
Add all ingredients to a bowl & mix!
Steak:
Roughly 1 lb of flank steak from Trader Joe's
Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides
Heat your pan and add avocado oil
Once the avocado oil is hot, add your steak to the pan and cover with a lid
Set a timer for 2-4 minutes (depending on how you like your steak prepared)
Flip the steak over and cover with a lid
Set another timer for 2-4 minutes
Once your timer goes off, remove your steak from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes
Set a timer so you're not tempted to cut into it
Once your timer goes off, cube your steak up
Once cubed, add back into the same hot pan for a quick toss in the juices, and remove from heat
Assembly: Add jasmine rice at the bottom of your bowl |
