Tell us more about who you are and what you do!
My name is Estefania, aka Fanny, @Fannykahlo on instagram. I am a Queer, mexicana who recently made the move to LA, I work for Spinelli Kilcollin as their social media and community engagement coordinator, and freelance as a content creator. I love to explore new coffee shops, new restaurants, and to keep my body active.
It's Hispanic Heritage Month this month, how does your heritage impact you?
Being born in Santa Maria, CA but raised in Morelia, Michoacán, my experience living in the USA deepened my connection to my family traditions in a new way. I’ve come to appreciate the significance of preserving my native Spanish language and staying connected to my Mexican roots—encompassing the rich cultural, historical, and social traditions of Mexico.
What is a cultural/family tradition that is near and dear to you?
A family tradition that is especially meaningful to me is music. The songs my parents introduced me to have shaped a significant part of who I am, influencing how I live and love. To this day, my mom and I still discuss the music that has been important to her, and I cherish this tradition as a way to share and preserve memories related to music. I Speak English, but love in Spanish*

Currently loving how social media has turned into a place to just be authentic and genuine, not so curated.I really love when I am able to work in a authentic and transparent way.
Showing behind-the-scenes content and when I am able to work with brands and creators who like to have fun, while staying aligned with what the brand is looking for allows for the best experiences.

What is your advice for someone wanting to get into content creating/social media?
I believe the best advice is to focus on some niches you’re passionate about and create engaging content tailored to your target audience. Be consistent with your posting schedule and actively interact with your followers to build a community. It is one thing to build a community and another to maintain it.
What do you love about Just Black Denim?
What’s not to love about Just Black Denim? To start off, each pair is handmade in LA! And as someone who is 5 feet tall, finding jeans that fit can be a challenge, but Just Black Denim offers a variety of sizes and styles that make them one of my favorite denim brands.
